It is sad how often that has happened. Steven Tyler did the same thing. And sadly Stevie Ray Vaughan did it so he could take his 16 year old girlfriend back to Texas from New Zealand.

I read Scar Tissue after being a RHCP fan for years, it's some grim reading at times. There's also that one video of the band sexually harassing a woman on TV.

I enjoy their music but don't have the fondness for the band members themselves that I used to.

That whole 'never meet your heroes' thing should be more like never form any attachment to anyone you don't personally know.
