What’s wrong with transparent pngs?
Aaah, these kinds of transparent PNG. How many times i was deceived. Straight to Hell.
This is the way
I still see an outline! Purgatory it is.
.... That isn't transparent, that is a white background
What am I missing here?
Transparent in the post is in quotes, so they mean PNGs that look like they have the checkered placeholder that means it's a transparent background, but the checkered part is actually an opaque background.
Oh dooohhhh! It was so obvious that I totally missed it :)
I think it should read "transparent" pngs, i.e. pngs that don't actually have a transparent background but a checkered background.
OK, now this I can get behind.
Presumably because you, too, have a checkered background?
But I am also transparent about it.
Am I Schrodinger.png?
I think since it's in quotes, they mean the kind where it's not actually transparent and has the checkerboard background baked into the image
Transparent pngs are fine. It's the "transparent" ones that are evil.
People who probably didn’t realize they were pngs and saved them as jpgs. I believe humans call that a “skill issue”.
No, when you save a PNG as a jpeg, the background is saved as solid white or black. Saving the checkered pattern requires effort or you're saving things by taking screenshots.
Sometimes it's formatted as *.png too. Straight to hell.
It's just some bigot who hates parents who are trans & pseudorandom number generators.
