Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Arguably still an organisation & governance issue, but this doesn't sound great for that dude
I was reading through the conversations (Screenshots) in the link. And based in what is provider there I do not see a problematic statement by antheas (or how he is called). Maybe more context is needed?
I feel it's a red flag that you don't find the blatantly transphobic slur a "problematic statement", let alone the belittlement of other project members and defense of "abusing" people, as he put it. Not to mention he's been banned from other projects for violating their codes of conduct.
