I understand it like you, but i guess you could technically interpret "free of X influence" as "not talking about X", in a more extensive way than "not talking like X would"

It’s free of the ml influence. So you’re not going to see memes praising Kim Jong Un, saying Russia invading Ukraine is good, or promoting authoritarianism and imperialism.

It is going to be anti-fash (black or red), anti-capitalist, and pro-leftist (anarchist, socialist, communist, etc).
