A place to discuss and support all Steam Hardware, including Steam Deck, Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and SteamOS in general.

As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:

If your post is only relevant to one hardware device (Deck/Machine/Frame/etc) please specify which one as part of the title or by using a device flair.

These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.

There's a lot of docks available that do this but let you easily grab your deck as you're leaving the house. What's the point of locking it in a box.

because the steam deck used in the project had a broken screen.

Now, Tom doesn't recommend actually doing this, since it really doesn't improve any performance and takes away the portability of the Deck, but it is a nice way to "revive" a Steam Deck that doesn't work anymore.
