They're a bunch of kids who failed every class in public school except gun maintenance 101.

They couldn't parse the sentence "Foreign embassies are sovereign territory", let alone be expected to possess that knowledge to begin with.

So LEGALLY, an embassy is not considered foreign soil. However, attempting to invade one is tantamount to a declaration of war.

Consulates, on the other hand, are not necessarily the same thing and may not enjoy the same level of protection. Your embassy performs the high-level diplomatic shit, but consulates are more for day-to-day stuff (visas, taxes, etc).

If only we had Gun Maintenance 101 in public schools. Americans are issued "Baby's First Glock" at birth as part of the APGAR-USA-USA-USA! test and then... Nothing.
