When pale people are described as “Caucasian,” I always thought it was a missed opportunity for them to suddenly adopt Armenian or Slavic accents or just do their best Borat until the other person relents. Because while caucasus is an actual region, the “science” behind its taxonomy as a race is just as fantastical as “Aryan,” and yet it’s the one you still see on official forms and hear in polite conversation today.
Give ‘em that slow and wordy burn, Tolkien. Make sure that the mockery only occurs to them later while they’re sleeping.
