The UK has announced large-scale policing reforms, including new investments into artificial intelligence and increased Live Facial Recognition (LFR) deployments.

The Home Office has pledged to fund 40 new LFR vans as part of a national program to expand facial recognition capabilities in town centres across England and Wales, according to a white paper published on Monday.

I do not understand the governance of the UK

Why haven’t the people thrown the parties on their asses?

Private ownership of the media.

Yeah because government run media is such a great idea. /SARCASM

I’d take BBC/PBS over Fox News any day.

The broadcasts' content on PBS are still privately owned. The part that is publicly funded is the broadcasting of the content.

For example, Bob Ross video recordings are owned by Bob Ross Inc which has been fought over for decades. That one is a messy example, but it applies to every other media as well.

I think people are being dosed with some kind of pollutant that is inhibiting their fear center somehow, interfering with brain function to make them more trusting and compliant, and massive numbers with taxoplasmosis, a parasite that affects all mammals spread between rodents and cats, where the rodents lose their fear of cats when they get it.

I used to joke about that, half joke, I'm full serious now. In the US as well, something is fundamentally wrong with everyone, not just one side.

COVID did cause real brain damage, we have not measured the impact at scale, but u think it made everyone more selfish and uncaring.

That could be a factor I didn't even think of that.
