Why is the title different?
We like to have fun here.
What is this place? A safe space for underrepresented peoples and peoples of color to talk, chill, and vibe.
What are the basic rules of the community?

This community is for ethnic minorities and people of color. This is a safe space where such people can freely discuss their struggles, insight, and thoughts without fear. If you are not, we respectfully ask you do not post or comment here. A future community will be established to allow for racial discussions with a mixed userbase. However, remember, comments here must still respect Lemmy TOS and Community Guidelines.

This place is for ethnic minorities and people of color. This includes those of mixed heritage and those who may be "white" but are of an ethnicity that is a minority in their area (i.e. Kurds, etc) If you've experienced oppression due to your identity that is not based on sexual / gender identification, you are welcome here.

Moreover, for our American audience, we have people from around the world who are "white" but are oppressed due to being a minority in their country. They are and should be welcomed here.

The past month has taught me that the exchange rate is apparently 2 whites = 1000000 Palestinians.

Gall. “If only it was Kamala and not Trump in charge of murdering Palestinians, then ICE would still only be disappearing nonwhites.” That’s what I hear. When US agents do the same thing millions of times over to nonwhites overseas, they are heroes and their victims are terrorists for resisting.

I had a few posts come up on my social media feed from, what I thought, was a cool POC leftist account and gave them a follow. When this ICE shit started popping off they posted a video with someone complaining about single issue "Palestine" voters. I just thought they couldn't be serious. I went further back in their post history and they had a bunch of videos of mostly white people complaining about the strawman "Palestine single issue voter" and I was fucking mad. Most people that cared about Palestine enough to not vote for Kopmala also cared that she was part of an administration and party that keep exploding police budgets. Exploded the DHS budget. Used language that helped build hatred against immigrants. I can keep on going.
I really want these people to wake the fuck up. I have so many lib friends that are still ok with Democrats and it makes me so fucking sad that they just don't open their eyes.
May as well tell em voting because the orange man is there is single issue because they sure as fuck don't say shit when about a lot of these issues unless a repub can be blamed. How much of the Palestine cause would gain traction among their ranks if trump wasn't in office? Lets be honest. They all shrugged at the massive death toll in the middle east, they shrugged when biden stole billions in assets from an impoverished afghanistan, they shrug hell even downplay blockades in places like cuba etc with a level of obtuseness only Sarti warned about and if they go to war with Iran it will be another shrug. They do the same exact bullshit Repubs do just with some leftist aesthetics.

If they did, they would have to get into who opened the camps and who voted to keep funding them. Plus, they’re not white enough to warrant caring about. If you pressed them on it they would probably imply that if Kamala was in power then it would only be the untermenschen getting disappeared instead of killing whites in the street.

Jesus is 4 million the total estimate for Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Syria? I knew it was at least 1 million in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Didn't realize the count was higher.
