Oh my fucking God shut the fuck up until you actually fucking oppose it (not OP, the Dems).
All but a handful of House members voted against it already. The few that did are either in districts which voted for Trump or are openly corrupt.
The Democratic Senate leadership appears committed to blocking it now, which they were not until this killing.
And the Democratic establishment has started lining up primary challenges against how many of that handful?
They have seemed committed before. Are they going to stick to their guns and abolish ICE or are they going to accept a few useless reforms and declare victory? My money is on a complete surrender.
What changed? Renee Good wasn't enough? (Not that she was the first, but she was a white woman so her death should count). It's not like Republicans sprung into action to fix anything after that. There were always going to be more murders.
This is typical Democratic establishment bullshit. There has been no change in the underlying principles for why they shouldn't be funding Trump's brown shirts. The only change is that the public turned against it.
Cowards were ok with it until now?
Glad they are capitulating to voters but their hesitancy to challenge fascism even as we are drowning in it speaks volumes.
"But you don't understand, they're killing people just like me now, so it affects me personally." Some democrat probably
Well let's hope they stay that way 🤞
