I'm looking to switch from Google Photos to an alternative. Looked into Immich and Ente already, which have quite some reviews online. But have found little about Zeitkapsl. Anyone here have some experience?

I suppose that's because they're relatively new (one year or so?).

I switched a couple of months ago from Google Photos. They have a guide how to do the export/import, took a couple hours for my library of 20 GB. The app is basic (no face grouping or magic eraser), and the sync of new photos takes a while. They're very active with new features and improving the product though, you can take a look at their Mastodon account to follow the developments.

All in all I'm nowhere near a heavy user and it provides the basics which is providing automatic backups without a fuss so I'm happy with it.

Thanks for your review, I saw they have a developer roadmap as well which showed some nice features for the future. With a young company like this, I hope they make it and don't go bust down the road.
