I think "Palakpakan" trike driver is an important test case for more nuanced discussions on digital vigilantism.
It turns out he was in the right โ indeed, there are times that street becomes two-way. Of course, he was still wrong in the sense that his license was expired, but that's a completely different argument and is just moving the goalposts. 100% of the reason why people are mad at him is because he allegedly counterflowed and had the audacity to mock who filmed it.
Basically, I absolutely hate Hawthorne Effect. Someone who has a camera would deliberately agitate people, film it, and act like they're level-headed in the clip.
