Hi y'all. I signed up recently and still getting acquainted with the interface. Is there any way to change/collapse the posts? I'm not sure I want this "feed" style of browsing. Something like old Reddit would be great. Thanks!

Do you mean a more compact interface? In your user settings, under your theme selection, you can select how compact you want your UI. There are three levels:

  1. Not compact - The default level for new accounts that expands the images/videos for those types of posts
  2. More compact - Image posts are just thumbnails (like link posts) and no embedded videos, so all posts take up roughly the same amount of vertical space. <- This one is my favorite
  3. Most compact - No images at all, everything is text.

As a curveball, you can try an alternative frontend and see if you can configure it how you like. Photon and/or Blorp might be more your speed, but I am not super familiar with their UI customization options.

Nice, that did the trick. "compact" is already quite an improvement. For some reason I saw the buttons on the top right but assumed they were for logging out.

On community pages, there are also the list, tile + wide tile options.
