It's just good business, cutting costs that only affects the quality of the product, but not the bottom line
It works until it doesnt.
Im happy i dont have any windows at home or work, im sad that my bank and airlines probably do.
There are public payboxes here running Arch Linux with Openbox and uxvt-unicode for some reason. Source: I witnessed one turn on a couple of time. It was Windows XP: Home Edition in 2019 for some reason.
