Oh. Apparently it’s like… a tube where you sit in a ball and it shoots you through the ground using vacuums and magnets? I mean it sounds cool I guess, but there are none that have been built yet. I used to work for CMAW (who was the union that was gonna be building the green line train system) and their time frame was 4 years for the train to be built and operational. This shit sounds like I might get to use it if I’m 80, if the Albertan government ever gets off its ass enough to build it.

A vacuum tube which means it must be a near-perfect seal for the entire length of it (hundreds of kilometers of a perfect seal while undergoing heat expansion) and if even a tiny puncture happens to the sealed passenger container they get turned into mashed potato

Why did people ever entertain that nonsense?
