The left is not in a position to do a revolution, but if it won't stop escalating then those conditions will come whether or not the left is ready for it.

What happens during those conditions is very important for the left. A natural conflict between the population and the state will bubble over into crackdowns and the left may be a target of those crackdowns.

If the left is unprepared to take hold of the moment, then the left needs to buckle down and protect itself so that it survives the moment without being crushed, so that it will survive to be large enough for the next one.

Nah, we gotta go into the fight. There is no buckle down and wait. Climate change is the real final boss and we can't even touch it until Empire is on his knees.

The odds are not really in our favor, but we can't wait out the ethnic cleansing of America. Our best chance is now while America is on the verge of losing its white majority. White folks really need to step it up right here and now. We didn't break the slavers chains by being cowards.

If you can't win this fight the result will be the full force of the US government being used to destroy the orgs and arrest all leading members. It will be Chile all over again.

The correct move if you can't win is to bunker down and survive. There's no nobility in charging into a battle you already know you'll lose. If the left isn't ready to win yet that can't be changed.

Obviously we have to make sensible plans based on our actual capabilities, but surrendering now because things are starting to heat up is pure cowardice. We have our work cut out for us if this is what passes for left in the US sheesh

Ehh it's your country and your movement. I'm just saying that it's incredibly fucking easy for Trump to go the Pinochet route and round up all the communist organisers and start shooting you in the head or throwing you out of helicopters or whatever. Do that to 1500 people and the american left that's still in its infancy is dead and won't be back for another 20 years. Chile left was massive and Pinochet had to do it to 30,000 organisers, the american left is nothing by comparison.

I would prefer that you take care to avoid that.

That's just a Tuesday in the imperial core fam idk suburban folks may not understand it, but people are getting rounded up all the time. Our prisons and concentration camps are full and keep growing. I'm not cis or white enough to escape it regardless of what path I choose. Bunkering down isn't any safer than the point of the spear.

This is just another tool to divide us. Some people maybe can convince themselves to stand down to "save the cause" by sacrificing their neighbors to white supremacy. What kind of left even is that?

Yeah i agree. I think that the act of survival will be the revolutionary left's opportunity to grow. Not by direct confrontation with the enemy or the government, but by supporting and protecting the people trying to survive this. That's the only way i see atomization being overcome in the US on a large scale because it it truely so extreme here.
