Had some fun with this. Rules:
- When a tankie post comes up, post a legitimate, fair argument. Do not argue in bad faith. No matter how nasty the post may be. Legitimately combat the disinformation there by going into their bubble and posting a sane response.
- Watch the responses come in. Especially if the post is on the tankie triad.
- Don't feed the trolls. Don't respond to anything, unless there is actually a legitimate attempt to have a legitimate discussion. Otherwise, start a game of tankie bingo to help prevent yourself from responding to the madness.
Suggestions for expansion welcome.
I just want one of these guys to actually provide an argument against us tankies that:
Shows they actually understand our position and why we hold it.
Doesn't lie or manipulate or ignore information to prove their point.
Doesn't rely on attacking the individual rather than the argument they are making.
Like if being a "tankie" is so obviously wrong, like they all insist, then proving our position wrong should be incredibly easy. But every single time they show that they haven't the slightest clue what a "tankie" actually believes and often have 0 understanding of the event they are smugly insisting they are an expert on, and flatly refuse to even consider anything we provide as evidence for our position, even to debunk it. Just once I'd like one of these people to actually come in and engage with us and provide solid proof of why being a liberal is correct and being a communist is incorrect. Seriously, I don't want to fight and die in a revolution, I would prefer liberalism to be true, it would make things so much easier. But not a single liberal I've seen shows they even understand the "tankie" position, let alone is capable of proving it wrong.

But only if it's you and me, I'm not going to reply to anyone else. I think it's also a good idea to set a baseline of things we agree on so we can actually talk in good faith.
