Just FYI not sure about the creator but other creators are saying some similar things across the board.

Instal the FDroid software shop.

Search "Newpipe" or "Tubular".

Install one of the above.

Remove the regular YT client from your phone.

Done.

Edit: Tube PIP seems to work fine on iPhone

I use AdGuard on iOS, but I expect uBlock to also work (for the web version of yt).

Disable YouTube app (to stop all YouTube links to open the app) + Firefox with ublock origin works pretty well

I use Grayjay, it works pretty well and has a clean UI.
