Get that you're just being silly and irreverent and all and I see you... But not exactly great to imply that plural pronouns are a problem that makes you implicitly odd to other people? Just... Sayin.

why shouldn't we imply that we would get the exact response that we get for hinting at our identity were we to legitimately assume it instead of dance around it and let people assume we're joking?

Because the people who respond to us that way are being assholes. Like it doesn't matter who it comes from. Cis folk are gunna look at that and think it's fine thing to say and keep doing it.
