In time the people of Greenland will have to make a choice. My knowledge of human nature fears it will be to the highest bidder.

If you mean "here take this money and give us your country or we will kill you" then yeah.

But I suspect you actually are referring to some weird "humans are greedy! Look! Billionaires!" While ignoring how often we freely help and associate with other humans. For example: on this website.
