Everything in Star Wars has happened a long time ago, in a galaxy far away, and it's a rich universe of millions of words and millions of years of history. So current Earthly matters really shouldn't concern us here. In other words, leave politics, philosophies and convictions behind the door. Explanation: (T)Raumschiff Surprise is a german sci fi parody movie by a popular (in Germany) comedian troupe from 2004. It mostly mocks Star Trek and Star Wars but also incorporates nods to other popular sci fi media (for example, the Han Solo-like Rock Fertig Aus (Til Schweiger) pilots a flying yellow cab).
No, it's not. While there are some funny moments (especially the allusions to different movies, but many are to german productions), most of its humor is derived from over the top stereotypes about gays (think Cam and the gay community from Modern Family but turned to eleven). That was funny to pre teen me when the movie first came out, but lost a lot ever since.
It's cringe more than cheese.
