Good news! The democrats will win a landslide victory in 2026 and guarantee you health care!

Until 2028 when they need to compromise with the republicans on a spending bill.

Even if support for democrats is at a landslide level, there's a whole lot of things that the Trump admin can do to avoid them getting a victory, starting with voter suppression and ending with lying about the results.

Somehow everything the Democrats promise takes until very close to the cycle after they're elected until they even talk about it. Then, of course, they need your votes again so they can do the thing they promised the first time. Then (Insert Needed # of Dems here) will have some problem with it so it falls through and Dems lose the next cycle because of some reason that is the voters' fault.

dems(*DNC) dont want to lose thier only single issue voter cards: healthcare,,,etc. which is why they always try to use it as a carrot, and drops it or half-ass it when they get elected.

Maybe if voters weren't so goddamn fickle, they wouldn't feel the need to do shit like that. If they didn't do that, they'd just never get elected period.

Or they could pass the things they promised when they have the chance like everyone wants and improve people's lives buying themselves tons of goodwill with the voters in the future.

goodwill with voters, yes, but not with their constituents (big business)

I remember that time Obama gave us universal health care. Good times. 😕

doubtful, if they are just having newsom, for '28. especially with Walz dropping out in minnesota, is problematic, because the gop/conservatives are trying hard to get a GOP elected in that state. if he can back down from a race this easy, it would be easy for republicans to keep threatening people til they dont run anymore.
