plus some cia propaganda =
Hooooooly shit wtf is that show?? I just watched that clip and I haven’t seen such blatant propaganda since my old roommate made me watch one of those godawful avengers movies. Were so goddam cooked.
I think the clip is from Season 2 of Jack Ryan. Season 2 was released in 2019, 1 week before Jeanine Anez declared herself to be the new President of Bolivia.
Chapo reviewed Season 2 of Jack Ryan on Episode #369.
I remember someone joking that the CIA had planned to coup Venezeula in 2019, so they made the Jack Ryan show as propaganda and then the CIA decided to coup Bolivia instead at the last minute.
Thank you. I’m profoundly out of touch with most post-recession film and television… for good reason, it seems.
I love how he mentions the natural resources Venezuela has and says that's why they're a threat to the US. I guess he's not wrong, countries with resources always seem to be presented as threats by American state propaganda.
And Yemen, Iraq and Syria as examples of failed states…wonder what happened there?
Except when the US is buddies with them. Saudi Arabia has resources and LITERALLY did 9/11, yet no one mentions it as a threat to US security. Wonder why that is.
