Yet a study that involved giving homeless people money without strings attached showed that most spent it on things to improve their future, like buying a used car, paying off debt, pursuing education, starting a business and getting a home. There were no adverse outcomes for any of the participants.

But still our society will judge the homeless and make out they're all feckless addicts who can't be trusted with help.

By this logic, the "humanitarian" interventions by Pax Americana in former European colonies do not aid development. They made the developing countries depending on free stuff by foreigners and there are evidence for them. One example is the intentional "donation" of free food to countries with no starvation to force the local farmers into bankrupt and make those countries dependent on foreign import of food. Another example is the donation of free shoes to countries with a competitive shoe markets to destroy the cultural importance of local shoe enterprises. The victim blaming also means that the Scary Red terror boogyman are exaggeration to justify brutal authoritarian regime in Pax Americana since the invisible hand only hires the hard working innovation tyrants to manage lazy Capitalists and not hard working people. Pax Americana also should not assist Ukraine, Israel, or Guaido since it made them dependent on foreigners who do not work for their interest.
