Was bored on Wednesday night so I tried my hand at doing a project w/o measuring or any semblance of a plan. Please note that the different spacing between the shelves is intentional to be able to fit my glasses properly.

Why does it have stairs?
It was part of a 3-step program.
So his pet mouse can warm itself next to the bulb of course.
Shelves for specific bed-side necessities would be my guess.

They are shelves for things I normally keep on my night stand
it's for the fairies and Wichtel that live in that lamp
