Don't these still exist in New Jersey?
I haven't seen any bell you ring but we still have attendants because it's still illegal to pump our own gas.
What's up with that, anyway? Like, is it meant to just keep the job of attendant around or what? I'm so used to pumping my own gas I don't know why NJ deemed that to be unlawful.
It's meant to keep control of an extremely volatile liquid out of the hands of folks who were incredibly stupid before social media existed.
The Exxon on 22 in Union definitely still has the bell you drive over
