Fascinating to see what draws other people to trance. I've been a fan since it was shared with me in early middle school and I've been hooked ever since. I don't need drugs if I have trance, and I genuinely mean that because it's so evocative when done right. I have so much more fun at raves when sober because the music carries us all.
Here's one of the classics that always gets that frisson going for me. This was prime Tiesto, and although he's not a favorite of mine, he has a new (too short but fun video) banger every now and then.

I can't wait to share a short list when I have the time! Life has been quite hectic (in a good way). I was able to listen to some of these without interruption and I'm into it/inspired to share some tracks when I can, especially since you invoked a Trance-off! Feels like I barely have time lately to listen to music for enjoyment. Lately I'm just pulling up a lo-fi hip hop radio station for ambience, but I miss being able to pay attention to and enjoy music without constant distractions.
The anime girl with the cat and coffee that inexplicably stays warm and never runs out?
That's the one! It's a reliably decent playlist, and she's a good study buddy.
I want that coffee mug. Mine always run out.
Also, a cat would be nice to have again.

I never presumed to introduce a raver to new music, rather this was a reminder list, so to speak!
I do have to say that, as a copyeditor, Counting Down the Days is fucking infuriating. You can't count down from zero. I mean, you can, but it's meaningless.
Great track. I've loved Delerium since the '90s, when edgy 24-hour diners would play their work. I'm curious if they started going harder or if that's all Tiësto.
