I kinda feel like that inhumanization/abject racism never went away though. Sure slavery and segregation were outlawed but some assholes found legal loopholes. On top of that, class warfare has been escalated by the owning class. They’ve found new ways of targeting other minority groups. Fuck, they brought back concentration camps. I respect the sentiment they’re going for here, though. Checking your biases and privilege t every step is a good way to live life in a society.
I mean, you're not necessarily incorrect, but I think it's a far cry from having whites only water fountains.
Like, yeah, systematic racism has huge implications that still affect millions of people, but to say that it's the same as when restaurants and stores were legally banning minorities from shopping at them is a bit intellectually dishonest.
The post isn't saying that there is no racism or division. It's saying that it's clearly not "the worst it's ever been."
