I suspect it's more useful for the robot vac where you are not actively using it yourself. They seem to like to put wifi into everything these days though.

The only other appliance I have with wifi is my rice cooker. The wifi is very useful for me because I bought the cooker cheap and it is Chinese, so I can't actually tell what any of the buttons do. The app has an English version, so without that I can't do anything except basic rice starting right now. With it I can set the timer and make youghurt and other things.
