Never had it. Growing up, the only place I'd see it was on the grocery store shelf. My folks didn't have it and when I'd stay anywhere else, they didn't have it either. I figured it was more for the previous generation and would be really hurting if not gone by now.

Turns out it's still here and even had a bit of a surge when WFH ramped up and people had time to prepare breakfast.

Have I been missing out? Anyone have a recipe I should try?

Follow the directions on the box for the amount that uses 2 cups of water or milk. Use milk. Use a little more butter than it calls for. Also add a snack size box of raisins.

Before it gets to boiling, put in a couple squirts of maple syrup and some brown sugar. As you mix in the Cream of Wheat, whip it good so it doesn’t clump. You’ll let it clump once. After you bite a clump you’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again. Maybe use an electric mixer.

Used to make it all the time. Loved it. Can’t have so many carbs now.
