I cannot follow this at all. Who among these users has the authority to decide whether Wikipedia should switch from CCP to CPC? Most of the people seem to agree that CPC is the official name so should be preferred but there oxygen is sucked by the argument about whether CCP is racist or not which shouldn't have to factor in if CPC is deemed official.

switching would probably go against Wikipedia’s Manual of Style (WP:VAR)

Here’s a summary:

The Arbitration Committee has expressed the principle that "When either of two styles is acceptable it is inappropriate for a Wikipedia editor to change from one style to another unless there is some substantial reason for the change."
