Right, but, do you think they can't understand context or don't know about the RAM price hikes? You're removing their license to "get the joke" by stating it's a joke and what it's about.

That alt text wouldn't even be a joke just a statement about a good deal on an expensive LP?
The joke doesn't need explanation when you look at the picture, why does the alt text need to hold the hand of visually impaired people? They aren't stupid; they're just incapable of seeing the image.
