There is a special place in hell for the devs that force you to sit through some shit before being able to adjust volume... I always have to dart towards my speakers before my eardums implode...

You might need to turn your system volume down so that an application at full volume isn't deafening.

Then other applications at full volume can't be heard.

If youre on Windows:

windows + G key will bring up the game bar and you can adjust volume individually per app before it opens

So, you leave the various other volumes at levels that typically make any volume of a new app too loud...? That seems like a pretty simple solution. Adjust your main volume down, done.
