The overwhelming majority of the time people have issues with Hexbear, it's the leftism.

This is the only thing I am responding to. Almost every comment on the defederation from hexbear thread said it was because of toxicity, not ideology. If a vegan says to someone "kys carnist, crawl into a hole and die," and gets banned, they didn't get banned for being vegan.

Considering the sh.itjust.works user that made that thread in the first place is an incredibly toxic person that runs an anti-communist drama community, is a Zionist, etc, something tells me that the people claiming it's toxic are ones that had strong political disagreements to begin with.
