TL;DR - Ewingella americana is a git microbe which when injected in mouse veins preferentially accumulates around oxygen starved environment, that is a rapidly divided tumor. it also brings immune response around tumor, so your immune system learns to fight it. Still in Mouse phase. but toxicologically safe so could be done in human soon. almost no major side effects (just inflamation)

you do not want absolute immorality. worse form of torture imaginable

[–] ngdev@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

there are certainly worse forms of torture imaginable

[–] IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Doubt it, and if you have something to suggest it would be infinitely worse if you include absolute immortality.

[–] ngdev@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

so then its a modifier, but simply being immortal is not the worst form of torture imaginable. being kept alive while your skin is peeled off and then grafted back on and peeled off for example would be undoubtedly worse torture than simply being immortal. gg moving the goal posts tho

i disagree, it might be fun the first few billion years if human civilization manages to prevail and expand into the stars. wait till the heat death of the universe, then an eternity of nothing but your mind.

and that's assuming your will get used to the pain of existing in the frozen vacuum of space.

do not underestimate eternity.

[–] ngdev@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

so you disagree that simply being inmortal is the worst form of torture imaginable even though you said that any other torture + being immortal would be worse lmao

[–] IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

by itself absolute immorality is a worse torture than anything that doesn't include absolute immortality. not sure if you want to count it as a modifier or as a torture in itself.

I think at this point we're just arguing semantics, and arguing semantics is also a form of torture

[–] ngdev@lemmy.zip 1 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

youre torturing me that you cannot see that what you said is provably false and you even said as much. the worst form of torture imaginable is decidedly not immortality lmao i can imagine so much worse shit than that

The amount of suffering when you spend the first Googleplex years in complete dark vacuum will likely be worse than whatever you can imagine.

[–] ngdev@lemmy.zip 1 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago) (1 children)

nope i can imagine the first googleplex years worse than just existing for those. for example, spending them trying to explain to you how easy it is to imagine something worse. or spending them feeling unimaginable pain the entire time while unable to "get used to" the pain

[–] IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world 1 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

are you saying that punishment will only last a googleplex years? what about the following googleplex times you do nothing but feel the vacuum of space for a googleplex years? better to only spend that time suffering then not exist anymore than exciting forced

[–] ngdev@lemmy.zip 1 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago) (1 children)

it will get googleplex to the power of googleplex worse every second for eternity. times a million. for a million eternities times infinite googleplex eternities. and for every eternity it will get twice as bad in half the amount of time, halving the amount of time for it to double after every doubling

[–] IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world 1 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

wrong. if you have your future last an eternity, then it's mine.

you had torture. mine was immorality, without immortality your torture would end, eventually, likely in the first 50 years. you are just describing my torture.

[–] ngdev@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 hours ago

wrong i am describing eternal torture while also being immortal just to prove to your pea brain that there are much worse forms of torture imaginable than immortality
