You really think older people didn't see the things your generation enjoyed as annoying bullshit?
It's been a running joke for hundreds if not thousands of years. They're basically calling themselves the Principal Skinner "no, it's the kids who are wrong," meme.
....? You missed the point pretty hard. I'm pointing out specifically that the phenomenon has zero uniqueness to boomers.
These days "Boomer" in most contexts doesn't mean people born between 1946-64. It's basically synonymous with "old fuddy duddy" now.
People use it that way, but it will pass. I consider it a misuse of the term.
It's not though, because it's its own pejorative term. There's a difference between calling someone a Baby Boomer and calling someone a Boomer.
Also, you're literally being the Skinner meme.
