It's probably worth mentioning in the summary that:

the prisoners are on hunger strike
they're not being dealt with in accordance with the laws around what's supposed to happen when prisoners go on hunger strike
they're not even convicted, just on remand.

The sensationalised criticism sounds a lot dumber than the real criticism, and is much easier for people scrolling past to dismiss as nonsense and just scroll past.
