Fediverse vs Disinformation
Pointing out, debunking, and spreading awareness about state- and company-sponsored astroturfing on Lemmy and elsewhere. This includes social media manipulation, propaganda, and disinformation campaigns, among others.
Propaganda and disinformation are a big problem on the internet, and the Fediverse is no exception.
What's the difference between misinformation and disinformation? The inadvertent spread of false information is misinformation. Disinformation is the intentional spread of falsehoods.
By equipping yourself with knowledge of current disinformation campaigns by state actors, corporations and their cheerleaders, you will be better able to identify, report and (hopefully) remove content matching known disinformation campaigns.

If after the events of today, you can't understand why there might be a need for a country where Jews can be safe, then you're probably a hatemonger that's causing more people to think that way.
You think by attacking people you're going to make people think Israel shouldn't exist? You're kinda having the opposite effect.
Maybe you should stop your performative hatred towards an amorphous group that are maybe a certain ethnicity and/or have different views from yours, and apply a small amount of critical thinking to what you're doing. If you're making certain people unwelcome in every country in the world except one, doesn't that justify the continued existence of that one country where they can be safe?
If you can't understand that the BBC is actually helping your movement by sane-washing things a bit, then you've truly lost your minds. If you were only criticizing Israel, more people might agree with you. Your hatred against "zionists" is a really terrible look. If you hate certain people, whether it be because of their ethnicity or even because they hold a different political position from yours, you're in a hate group.
A group of people that are dedicated to hating another group of people is a hate group. You should thank the BBC for making you look a little bit less like a hate group. Though maybe they shouldn't... just let people go off on longwinded rants about how the "zionists" are the secret puppet masters of the world or whatever and everyone will know what the "Free Palestine" movement is really all about. Is that what you want?

Nobody said any of that. You seem unhinged.
