I hope Google brings live translation of Japanese to iOS users before Apple does. (Apple already translates a few American and European languages already. Japanese is much harder because it's the most alien/foreign to native English speakers (and vice-versa). So that's the real challenge.)

Apple announced first — I wasn't even aware Google was working on this, too.
