Are Lemmy anarchists okay? How does this person have 24 upvotes? In what universe are anarchists NOT doing class analysis, (therefore) don't want to abolish capitalism, and don't want to fight archism?

I suspect this is just because libs absolutely DESPISE comrade @Cowbee@hexbear.net and will upvote anything smart-sounding that supposedly addresses whatever is being discussed?

Also, gotta love the whole "I have this opinion and many anarchists will disagree and that's what anarchism is about". Like, buddy, you haven't read one book or talked to one anarchist IRL, let alone organized in your entire life.

Marxism isn't incompatible with revolutionary optimism. Focusing on compatibility with everyone to the point of including capitalists, fascists, etc. results in passivity and thus upholding the immense system of social violence committed against the global working class.

Yes, and until I have a group of people that I can rely on to start destroying that system, passivity is the best way to go as it keeps any targets off my back and allows me to hold conversations with everyone which will increase the chances of finding my place.

If you just wait for a group forever and rely purely on conversations, you won't actually ever change anything. There should be a mutual aid org or something around you, start with that. To not do anything when you could is to uphold the present system.

Oh no I don't intend to wait.. I went to an Anarchist bookfair in Berlin last month. Intending to go to another one in may, and meanwhile keep browsing the leftist comms, getting into arguments and finding people I connect with. I am actively looking. It's just that the country I reside in had all leftist thought pummelled out of it due to being occupied by the USSR and transforming to ultra-liberalism and nationalism. The only orgs that could exist are anarchist ones because communism is banned. I could move. But that requires to have some connections outside and I don't have those as well.

One of the advancements of Marxism is dialectical materialism. Communism being banned and the rising wave of fascism helps create the conditions for radicalized workers and the necessity of a political party to unite them. There's a dialectical relationship here, quantitative buildups over long periods of time eventually result in qualitative leaps. This is why there are decades where nothing happens, and weeks where decades happen.

If you genuinely believe Marxism to be more effective than anarchism, you can be a part of that movement even if you think anarchism is the only "allowable" left opposition. Even then, anarchism will still be targeted the moment it becomes a threat, you aren't making the org work easier.
