Fediverse vs Disinformation
Pointing out, debunking, and spreading awareness about state- and company-sponsored astroturfing on Lemmy and elsewhere. This includes social media manipulation, propaganda, and disinformation campaigns, among others.
Propaganda and disinformation are a big problem on the internet, and the Fediverse is no exception.
What's the difference between misinformation and disinformation? The inadvertent spread of false information is misinformation. Disinformation is the intentional spread of falsehoods.
By equipping yourself with knowledge of current disinformation campaigns by state actors, corporations and their cheerleaders, you will be better able to identify, report and (hopefully) remove content matching known disinformation campaigns.

.... You really actually believe all this, don't you?
I'm just wondering options here. Mental illness, maybe? Lack of basic education? Paid shill? I mean, there are options to explain you, but none of them are very goo
You use a post from a Chinese controlled media outlet to show that there really isn't a genocide happening with the uyghurs, even when the rest of the word says there is? You prefer to believe the words of state media in a dictatorship over actual photo and video evidence? You prefer "good is bad, up is down" rhetoric over the actual testimonies of uyghurs themselves?
Yeah, I'll go with paid shill
