Not reading this because it doesn’t render in reader mode. But what is this picture labeled cottagecore 1940? Im pretty sure it wasn’t called cottagecore back then. I think they probably just called it clothing.
Edit: lol ok, I got this to render in reader mode, so I could read it. Did not answer my question. Also there’s another picture labeled as cottagecore from a time when they would not have used that term.
I think, she's just showing an example of the aesthetic that we would now call "cottagecore", even though it would not have been called that back then. Lots of trends did not have a name when they were their most popular...
