I know! My joke was based on the fact that Sveti Miklavz is called Saint Nick in English, which is similar to Old Nick, but Old Nick is the devil. And the devils depiction - a horned demonic being -- is similar to krampus.

I'm not saying it's a good joke, but I stole it myself!
