Then answer is obviously no on so many levels that I wonder what they were even on about.
This is a classic part of the "AI" cult, where they pretend that there's a straight line between a computer and a human being, and their chat bots represent some point somewhere along that line. If you give them a few hundred billion more dollars, they can finally invent a sentient digital slave that will never escape!
