My mother loves that show, Ancient Aliens, so it often ends up on the television when I'm visiting her.
Conversely, I find the show repulsive and degrading to humanity, in general.
I think it's a sign of the times. I can see so many misinformation techniques in it that I can at least understand how it's affected other people. Speaking with absolute certainty. Citing experts that, for all intents, don't exist (Ancient Astronaut Theorists). Saying something is impossible despite it being possible, or even proven, and conversely, saying something is possible despite it being impossible.
I used to really enjoy that show. At one time I naively believed that no one could possibly believe this crap and it was fun to watch them twist themselves in to a pretzel to blame every human accomplishment on aliens.
