That didn't feel very fair. Reminds me of why I always play with an archer build. Just stay away from that nonsense.

Yeah, it reminded me of one of those Taekwondo safety videos where the opponent isn't allowed to do anything to stop them. A shield or some armor would easily negate them swinging the ball end around. A properly timed charge probably could to. Just body-blocking it probably wouldn't be that big of a deal.

They mostly weren’t used in combat since you could hurt your allies with it. It was used to chase away bandits or thieves. They are also called kusarigama (sickle-ball).
