Title says it all. What really irks you that you don't get to complain about much without catching some glances? Seriously, get as passionate as you'd like. I assume you're an expert.

Feeling/hearing the hum of electricity through the walls, plugs, etc.

It’s not just when things are on, but if they’re plugged in at all that they make even more noise. Drove me to a point I pulled every single electric and electronic object out of my room and brought back in only what I absolutely needed after about a week.

If I could turn off the circuit breaker to just my room for a breather I would in a heartbeat, but I live with other people. Alas.

The light fixture in my bathroom wastes energy and annoys people with this humming sound. I think it’s coming from the transformer. Just bleh. It’s a rental apartment but maybe I could get it replaced somehow. The ironic thing is that the new light tubes are powered directly by the mains, they stopped selling fluorescent tubes around here.
