Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Are you sure it's not slow internet which resulted in the photo to not finish loading?
Gave it plenty of time to load on my gigabit internet.
That's weird. I tried https://old.lemmy.today/post/42532735
And even inspecting the page source (on Firefox), all I get is an embed of the ibb.co image.
You got served a lemmy.today cache image though... Are you on mobile, by chance? Or using any non default configs/extensions?
This one is fine for me, but I've had others with the same issue. I assumed it was a quirk in the app I use (Boost).
Click image, Top right click HD. Boost tries to save bandwidth on some images but I haven't noticed a real trend behind what images it chooses to downscale or not.
Thanks, I'll try that next time I see one.
Yhea my boost sometimes also seem to make things blurry. Dowloading it does show it is a clear one. But I didn't had problems with this one
Which client?
Just using firefox and old.lemmy
Odd, does not do that for me.
But it could be an extension or flag requesting a bandwidth optimized image.
