This is a great read, and makes me interested in picking up the book of which this is the subject. Debt is an incidious creature. Creaping debt is easy to obtain and difficult to remove. Even outside the student loan sphere, even in the simple credit card form of debt, banks will increase your limit for being a good debter. By that, I mean, if you rack up debt and pay a little of it off, they'll make your limit higher so you can rack up more debt only to pay a little off. It is a sick system.
