“It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it.” — George Carlin

Stanley Kubrick was no dummy and had access to many in elite spheres. I’d say he was in the big club himself. It’s no stretch to imagine he knew what was going on.

What the right-wing conspiracy theorists lack, though, is class consciousness. Maybe Epstein’s bipartisan list will shake a few of them out of their confusion.

No they aren't. Did anyone actually read the bill?

you clearly haven't, but don't worry, you'll see for yourself when the releases are so redacted that they look like window blinds.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Every redaction has to have an explanation and a general description provided to Congress. It's in the bill, just read it guy.

[–] eldavi@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

exactly; it's not going to be released to the public, which is what trump et. al. wanted to begin with and making this entire epstein scandal little more than a political distraction for liberals.

You missed the part where Congress can challenge reasonablity.

Ed: of and the part where every name mentioned must be provided and cannot be redacted.

can and won't; read between the lines because there's a reason why trump switched to endorsing it.

fwiw, i hope i'm wrong, but i've seen this political theater play out too many times in the last 5 decades to fall for it again.

They can and might, you don't know. Public pressure has been pushing glaciers down hill lately. This oh everything is fucked why bother attitude is what got us here.

He switched positions because he's a moron and his lawyers are morons as proven time and time again.

you misunderstand on several fronts and we're here because people keep reinforcing this democrat/republican duopoly.

history keeps reminding us not place any trust in democrats as recently as 3 weeks ago and the republicans are a lost cause entirely.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

What exactly did I misunderstand. Agreed that it's part of the problem, the main issue is people accepting that there's nothing to do about it like we didn't force a second party into existence in the first place.

No one says I trust or to trust Democrats, trust the pissed off public.
